Skriftlig Presentation - Florida

Florida is my favorite state in U.S.

In Florida TallaHassee is the capital city but the largest city is Jacksonville,

TallaHassee is the 128th largest city in USA.

TallaHassee is 103.5 square miles and the population from 2010 is 700 people per square mile.

In florida they have a place called Everglades, it´s a tropical wetland and there are many tourists

who go there to see Alligators.

I´ve been there and when i came there we bought tickets for an Airboat to see some Alligators.

An airboat is a boat thats flat on the bottom and have a big propeller on the back.

After you´ve gone and seen the Alligators you can eat breaded Alligator and frog legs and it´s really cool in the restaurant cause they have hang up a lot of cards in the roof, but i dont remember what cards it was.

Florida have a nickname, it´s the sunshine state cause it´s so sunny and beautiful there and it´s always warm and humid.

In florida it´s not free to go to college, if you wanna go to a college in another state it costs around 20k per year, but if it´s a college in your state it costs around 6k per year.

School lunches are not free at school like in sweden, it costs around 25 SKR and if you don´t pay you´re not getting any food.

Private schools cost money but to go in but the municipal schools is free, in sweden all schools id free. Immediately after the baby is born the parents begin saving money for the child so he/her will be able to go to the best school that they can find, that means that the parents think that the private schools is better than the municipal schools.

In Florida the students must wear Schooluniforms, which we don´t have in Sweden, every school in Florida have there own uniform, so everyone can see which school the students go in.

In florida they eat very much fast food but there are good restaurants too, that´s like sweden but in Florida it´s a bit more fast food.

In Florida, they unfortunately have a shark called bull shark, there are many deaths and attacks on people with bull sharks involved. The bull shark can survive in both salt and freshwater so it can live right under the nose of the people without their knowing it. In Sweden we luckily don´t have any dangerous sharks, but we still have sharks!

 

In Florida, it is both wonderful but there are also bad stuff there

So I hope I told you everything so you understand, why Florida is my favorite state.
